Scope
The brief for Stouffville eye clinic was essentially dual in nature. This eye clinic also has an in-house retail eye care product outlet. They needed the space designed to do proper check-ups and provide the clients with retail eye care products.
Interior Design Concept
Stouffville is a family eye care and optometry centre in Stouffville, ON. With patients as young as six months old coming in, we had to create a comforting and relaxing environment for the clinic.
The high ceiling at the main central entrance and adaptive lighting instantly create a warm and peaceful feeling. The colour palette of earthy tones with rustic wooden accents matches the ambience. The treatment and consultation rooms have a muted grey colour palette which sets a serious and professional tone.
The retail area has a reception and a shelving setup for displaying glasses. A full-size mirror comes in handy for trying out the glasses and examining the contact lenses. Another thoughtful addition adding to the comfort of the clients is the kids’ playroom adjacent to the reception area. The space uses colourful graphics and toys for the kids to play with as their parents are getting examinations.

A space that’s a combination of health care and retail facility needs to be high functioning and comfortable. This dual-purpose is achieved with a consistent flow where everything is accessible easily.
